Your biggest challenge isn't someone else. It's the ache in your lungs, and the burning in your legs, and the voice inside you that yells can't. But you don't listen. You just push harder. And then you hear the voice whisper can. And you discover that the person you thought you were is NO match for the one you really are.

pregnant exercises

I'm feeling a little better this week. I am not going to start running yet. I will start walking again. I'll see how that goes. I need exercise! I am going through withdrawals.

Anyone else been pregnant that NEEDED exercise as much as I do? What things did you do? Were you sick? Did it help keep the nausea down? I need ideas.

  1. One word: Yoga. At a gym/studio preferably but there are some videos that can get you through with out busting up laughing at the cheesiness. I love it though, I seriously think its the best way to clear you mind of all hormonally induced insanity ;)

  2. Thanks. I will have to do it. Is there a specific kind of yoga? or restrictions that I should be aware of?

  3. I don't think it matters which kind you do but good video should have an opening little blah blah blah about things to be watching for, mostly about not over stretching your stomach. It's good stuff. And congrats, p.s., I don't think I said that before ;)

  5. I am currently 30 weeks pregnant and I stopped excersising very early in this pregnancy. I needed exercise like you do, but I was just so sick I gave up. And I never started again. I regret it SO SO much. Don't give up. Even if all you do is walk, don't stop getting some form of exercise. I've gained way too much wait and I took my daughter to the zoo a couple weeks ago...it just about killed me to walk around so much. Very depressing.

  6. Hey, I know this post was a long time ago, but I just wanted to add my two cents. I didnt exercise with my first, and gained 50lbs...I did an 8 minute work out with my second everyday, and only gained 25lbs....my doc kept telling me, as long as you arent spotting, you are fine....so i think as long as it is comfortable, you can do whatever you feel is right! Good luck!
