Your biggest challenge isn't someone else. It's the ache in your lungs, and the burning in your legs, and the voice inside you that yells can't. But you don't listen. You just push harder. And then you hear the voice whisper can. And you discover that the person you thought you were is NO match for the one you really are.

And it came crashing down. . .

I broke through. The wall has fallen. I ran 5.38 miles! Officially the farthest I have ever ran. It feels great.

  1. That is really awesome! I was talking to a marathon runner and she said she can go forever running 10 minutes, walking 1 minute, over and over ... I've been working up to five rotations! Keep running (you never know when it'll come in handy!).

  2. I did stop to walk for a couple minutes yesterday. I only stopped twice though.

I have this fear of being the weakest link on any team or organization and I just don't want to be the only one who walked in the Wasatch Back in three weeks. Hopefully I can work up to no walking by then.
